If you are planning to go for your first skydive experience but are feeling a little nervous about it, don't worry it's very common for first time jumpers to feel a little anxious about making the decision to jump. Skydive Big Sky in Calgary Alberta provides you with the proper training so that you can skydive on your own! That means you will be able to climb out of the aircraft and jump! You will have the aid of one of our professional skydive instructors on the airplane right there with you. Jumping out of a plane while attached via a harness to an experienced skydiver is the easiest way to achieve accelerated freefall without hours of pre-training and parachute instruction.   Skydiving Is Safe Skydive Big Sky has a flawless safety record with no fatalities. All of our Tandem Masters and Jump Masters have been professionally trained and adhere to the guidelines set forth and regulated by the Canadian Sport Parachute Association. We employ a rigorous maintenance program on all of our equipment. All parachutes are equipped with AAD (automatic activation devices) manufactured by Cypres and Vigil. At Skydive Big Sky we have own and operate our own aircraft. We do not lease aircraft from other outfits who have only their bottom line in mind. There has never been an airplane crash or major mechanical failure with any of our airplanes. The reason for this is pretty basic: we maintain our aircraft properly and we do not hire amateurs to fly them.
